Jennifer
Kries is known to millions of TV viewers who tuned in to her workout show
which was broadcast nationwide four times a day on the Fox Fit TV channel. She
has also appeared on The Rosie O'Donnell Show and the Today show, and has been
featured in such magazines as Fitness, Family Circle, and Total Health.
Jennifer Kries ia a Certified Pilates Instructor and professional dancer with
a variety of teaching and choreography credits including the New York City Ballet,
Miami City Ballet Dance, Bat Sheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv, Hubbard Street
and Pennsylvania Ballet Summer Residencies, and John Leguizamo's Fox/HBO TV
series, "House of Buggin". Jennifer made her professional debut at age 16 with
Edward Villela's Eglevsky Ballet performing in Balanchine's "Serenade". She
trained with the Pennsylvania Ballet and was discovered by Matt Mattox, artistic
director of Philadelphia's Waves Jazz Dance Company. She is a founder of the
Balanced Body Center at New York's World Gym.
Jennifer has enjoyed the benefits of Pilates for over 15 years. She brings
a rich and diverse perspective to her work, having studied with three of Joseph
Pilates' original disciples, Eve Gentry, Romana Kryzanowska and Ron Fletcher
along with her background as professional dancer and yoga devotee. After pioneering
the institution of Pilates in gym facilities, her mat class was voted one of
America's Top Ten Group Classes by Shape Magazine and has since been introduced
to a wide range of public and private fitness facilities across the United States
and the world.
