The Total Yoga DVDs are now some of the most popular and respected Yoga titles available today. Based on the Flow Series technique that Ganga White introduced in 1979, Total Yoga is a series of four diverse sessions designed to appeal to a variety of yoga abilities and intentions.

With instructional cut-ins that highlight posture and proper execution, each session features classical yoga postures and Ujjayi breathing along with Tracey and Ganga's trademark flowing technique that is now taught all over the world.

Breathing is an important part of virtually every yoga practice, helping the student to relax into the meditative poses. Ujjayi Breathing focuses on passing air through the back of the throat, creating a hissing sound similar to the ocean, and is performed by inhaling and exhaling through the nose.

Flow Yoga combines asanas, breath, meditation and movement in graceful, flowing sequences and can be practiced vigorously or in a soft, easy manner. Within the flowing movements, to gain the full benefit of each pose, they are held for specific lengths of time.

Ganga White and Tracey RichGanga White is president of the White Lotus Foundation and is recognized as one of the outstanding teachers and exponents of Yoga. He founded the nationally renowned Center for Yoga in 1967 and has extensive background in health, science and philosophy with teaching experience spanning 40 years.

Ganga studied and lived in India, visiting remote monasteries and learning centers. He teaches internationally and has trained hundreds of yoga teachers. He founded Yoga centers in major US cities and for five years served as vice-president of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Society.

He has received the teaching title Yoga Acharya three times from the Sivananda Ashram, the Yoga Vedanta Forest University, Rishikesh, Himalayas and the Yoga Niketan in India. He has aquired years of personal study with many great teachers including Swami Venkatesananda, J. Krishnamurti, BKS Iyengar and K. Pattabhi Jois.

Tracey Rich has been studying and teaching nationally since 1978, training teachers as well as students. Her background in Yoga includes study with K. Pattabhi Jois of the Astanga Vinyasa tradition, Yogiraj Ganga White, Yogini June LaSalvia, Joel Kramer and J. Krishnamurti.

Her backgound also includes writing, dance, health and philosophy. She draws her teaching methods from all of these areas creating a synthesis of experience and hoping to inspire self-expression in the student, giving them the the tools to develop well being and awareness in their lives. Tracey is holder of the Yoga Acharya degree.
